Saving Lives.

In Kenya, there are 2.6 million orphans, and every year, hundreds, if not thousands, of newborns are abandoned by their parents. Some are left behind in hospitals shortly after birth—these babies are the fortunate ones. Others are not so lucky, left to perish on the roadside, in forests, or on garbage dumps.

We have partnered with NewLife Home Trust which have specialised in rescuing abandoned newborn babies and have rescued more than 2,500 babies from a certain death since 1994. With 4 rescue centres and orphanages in across Kenya they are saving and transforming young lives and every single day.

We are very proud to have the good fortune to be able to support the amazing teams on the ground in Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru and Nyeri.

Stories of Hope.
Meet Baby R.

Abandoned at just one month old, he was brought to NLHT at three months, weighing only 2.7 kg and showing heartbreaking signs of severe malnutrition. Despite being placed on a nutritional program, his progress was painfully slow. At seven months, after starting complementary therapy, his weight had only reached 5.3 kg, and he suffered from recurring fevers that left him weak and vulnerable. By eight and a half months, his tiny body was battling abdominal issues as well, and doctors were still struggling to find answers.
But then, a pediatric gerontologist re-evaluated his diet at eleven months. After removing certain foods, Baby R’s health began to improve almost overnight. By fourteen months, he was a different baby—thriving, smiling, and finally engaging with his surroundings. The joy in his eyes as he reached each milestone was nothing short of a miracle. His life was saved, and today, Baby R is not just surviving, but truly living.

Meet Baby M.

Baby M was admitted to NLHT with his eyes tightly shut. Initially, doctors believed it was a congenital abnormality, and we feared he would never see. For months, he missed out on activities other children enjoyed, but we continued to care for him with little hope.
Then, at five months, something miraculous happened. After a routine bath, Baby M surprised us by opening his eyes with his own hands. We could hardly believe it. Over the following days, he consistently opened his eyes when awake. An eye specialist confirmed Baby M had functional eyesight and referred him to a senior ophthalmologist.
Since then, Baby M has undergone two successful eye surgeries, fully restoring his vision. On his second birthday, October 10, 2023, he celebrated with perfect sight.

Meet Emma & Ella

Twins Ella and Emma were born on June 10, 2019, and rescued from their mentally ill mother wandering the streets of Nairobi and brought to New Life Home Trust on July 23, 2019, where they were given a second chance at life. Under our care, they thrived, receiving the love, nutrition, and medical attention that saved them from the unimaginable.
With determination, we traced their maternal grandparents, who opened their hearts and home to the twins. Despite facing financial struggles, the family was reunited on April 30, 2024, as part of the Children’s Act 2022, which champions family care over institutionalization. These two precious lives were saved, and today, they are surrounded by the love and warmth of their family.

Meet Desmond - Our Graduate!
Born on May 13, 2001, Desmond’s journey to New Life Home in Nairobi began when he arrived at just 6 months old. He started his life at the Kilimani home before moving to The ‘Ark’ family home in January 2004, where he was welcomed by siblings Sonya, Clive, Duncan, Molly, and Baraka. Over the years, Desmond's family grew with the addition of Dylan, Harmony, Stefan, Anton, and Jalena. While Jalena was adopted and Baraka moved to another home to reconnect with his biological family, Desmond’s bond with his family remained strong.

From the very beginning, Desmond showed a thirst for knowledge and an unwavering determination to reach his goals. Under the guidance of his first house mother, Mama Noah, and with the support of mentors like Dr. Paul Wangai, Desmond navigated the ups and downs of adolescence, ultimately finding a deep interest in spirituality.
Today, we are proud to celebrate Desmond’s incredible achievement—graduating with Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in Food Service and Hospitality Management from JKUAT. This marks a new chapter in his inspiring journey, and we can’t wait to see where his future takes him!

Shaping Futures. Education & Support.

We are excited to create a transformative teaching facility in Nairobi, designed to empower young talents and equip them with the skills needed to thrive in the rapidly growing tech landscape. This facility will focus on software development as a whole, with a specialized emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), an area we believe is critical to shaping the future. By providing a space where young people can learn from industry experts, access the latest tools and technologies, and engage in hands-on projects, we aim to nurture the next generation of software developers, data scientists, and AI specialists.

Education and more

Our mission goes beyond just education; we are passionate about creating opportunities that can drive meaningful change. This facility will not only offer training but will also become a center for innovation, where talented students can collaborate, experiment, and develop their own tech solutions. By fostering creativity and critical thinking, we hope to inspire students to think beyond traditional paths and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the fields of software development and AI.

At the same time, we are committed to identifying and funding promising tech startups in Kenya and Tanzania. We recognize that these countries are home to many bright, innovative minds, and we believe in the potential of local entrepreneurs to create transformative solutions for their communities and beyond. By investing in these startups, we will help bring new technologies to life, create jobs, and boost economic growth in the region. Whether it's through funding, mentorship, or strategic partnerships, we will ensure that these startups have the support they need to succeed and scale.

Bridging the Gap.

Through this dual approach of education and investment, we strongly believe that we can bridge the gap between the developed and developing worlds. Education in tech gives young people the tools to compete globally, while supporting local startups fosters homegrown solutions to local challenges. Together, we aim to unlock the immense potential of the region, creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond Nairobi, Kenya, and Tanzania, and positively impacts the world.
